2. About BookCycle

BookCycle.lk is an online bookstore specializing in carefully selected second-hand (pre-loved) books. We aim to provide quality books at affordable prices while promoting sustainable reading by extending the life of books.

3. Product Information

As we sell pre-loved books, minor signs of previous use such as light wear, age-related marks, or slight discoloration may be present. We carefully inspect every book before listing it for sale and strive to provide accurate descriptions and images whenever possible.

While we make every effort to ensure product information is accurate, occasional errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors or inaccuracies without prior notice.

4. Pricing

All prices displayed on BookCycle.lk are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise stated.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time your order is successfully placed.

5. Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. This confirmation does not guarantee acceptance of your order. BookCycle reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order due to pricing errors, stock availability, suspected fraud, or other legitimate reasons.

6. Payment

We accept secure online payments through the payment methods available on our website.

Your order will only be processed after successful payment confirmation. BookCycle does not store your payment card information.

7. Shipping & Delivery

We provide islandwide delivery across Sri Lanka and international shipping to selected countries.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location, courier services, weather conditions, customs clearance, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Shipping charges will be calculated during checkout.

8. Returns & Refunds

As our products are second-hand books, customers are encouraged to carefully review product descriptions before placing an order.

Returns or refunds will only be accepted if:

  • You receive the wrong book.
  • The book is significantly different from the description provided.
  • Return due to shipping damage(Proof to be provided)

Requests for returns must be made within 7 days of receiving your order. Returned items must be in the same condition in which they were delivered.

Refunds will be processed after the returned item has been inspected and approved.

9. Availability

Since most books are unique second-hand copies, quantities are usually limited to a single copy. Once sold, a title may no longer be available.

Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it until your order has been successfully completed.

10. User Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on BookCycle.lk, including text, graphics, logos, images, website design, and other materials, is the property of BookCycle or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

12. Acceptable Use

BookCycle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the purchased product.
